So I posted last week  about checking out a local CrossFit class.  Monday was the day that I would brave the doors of the gym and see what it had in store for me.  Class starts at 5:15am and I needed to be there 10 minutes early as it would be my first class, just so I had a heads up on all that would take place.

5:15 is early, but I’ve been waking up at that time anyway to go running.  So I simply shift my wake time 30 minutes and I’ll be good to go.

I’m blaming it on the hour of the day, that makes a better story than I wimped out.

It is indeed true that waking up at 4:45 is much different than 5:15.  A 30 minute difference is quite huge at that time of day. But full-truth be told, if I was excited about the class I would have been awake at 4:30 for it.

I simply didn’t want to go.  I don’t want to deal with the inevitable adjustments.  I don’t want to deal with them in a public forum.  I don’t want my challenges to hold up the class nor do I want my challenges known by the class.

So for now I’ll stick to my running and start up with my DVD workout set that has always proven to be a good, hard workout.
