Progress on New Product

I have been quite busy working to develop a product that I hope will be a direct benefit to many of my readers.  My Poland Syndrome affects my right hand.  I have only 2 fingers on my right hand (thumb and pinky) and as a result, limited functionality.  I can do many things, with grabbing and holding items firmly is not one of them.

As a result, grasping a vegetable peeler to peel a potato or a carrot has been a long time frustration.

After growing weary of being weary, I decided to take action and am in the process of having a prototype produced for a vegetable peeler aimed at folks with birth defects or amputations.

Tomorrow I travel 2 hours to meet with the team of engineers working on the product as they present their design thus far.  I am super excited to bring to market an item that will make a significant difference in the lives of so many whose life is marked by one adaptation after another.

I’m excited to hear about your new product! Yes, with no fingers and a very tiny thumb & limited strength in it, carrots and potatoes are a problem! I usually hold things against my shirt. Needless to say I’ve stained many a fine outfit. So that would be a big help. I hope I can find it to purchase it! But if not, we PS folks are very inventive in finding ways to get things done, aren’t we. ???? Thank u! Wendy B
